Burger Van at Bahamas Down Syndrome Center

The World Famous East Nassau Burger Van will be at the Bahamas Down Syndrome Center's Fiesta Festival on November 26. We heard from the Bahamas Down Syndrome Center at our meeting in early October which was Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

 It's not about celebrating disabilities, it's about celebrating abilities.

We are is a non-profit organization that relies solely on the generosity of businesses and individuals to keep our doors opened. We are grateful for those who have seen our vision and have answered the call to assist!

The center offers an early intervention class for our younger kids to learn. This class not only teaches them the fundamentals they need to hopefully be main streamed in the school system but they also receive their therapies along with their programs. The center also started an adult program for all of our adults who have finished school but have had no place to go to have a social outlet. The adults are revising their English, Math, Reading, Writing and also their life skills. They also enjoy exercising and going on fun field trips!
