Matching Donations up to $2,500 - now $3,000!

During these unsettling times your Rotary Club of Kitchener Board of Directors has been looking for ways to serve our community as best we can while still protecting each other and the community by staying home. We believe we have hit upon a project that all club members can participate in, and also invite non-Rotarians to join in.

We are scheduled to have four face-to-face lunch meetings between now and the end of May at the Crowne Plaza that we will not attend due to social distancing. The Board suggests that we continue to pay for our lunch meals; but, we redirect that money to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Four donations of $25 per meal would then become a donation of $100 per club member to the Food Bank.

We will also advertise this on our social media and on a custom designed page on the Food Bank website promoting our Club initiative and allowing us to invite anyone in the community to also donate any amount they wish. The fundraising initiative will run until May 11th. 

Further, the Rotary Club of Kitchener will match all donations to the Food Bank $1 for $1 up to a maximum of $2,500 (now $3,000 with the support of a generous member of our community) in donations, using funds that have been allocated in our current year budget for local community grants. 

To signify your agreement to make a donation of $100, all you need to do is click on the link on this registration page. If you would like to contribute an amount other than $100 please indicate the amount you would like to contribute in the comment section. All donations will be charged to your club account and will be eligible for a tax receipt from the Food Bank.
