Gratitude is extended to the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman, who immediately responded to the needs of The Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas and galvanized its members and others by collecting an assortment of chainsaws, generators, clothing and food supplies, inclusive of water.

The team from Bahamasair, led by Past President Captain Gus Roberts of the Rotary Club of New Providence, transferred the items to New Providence and were met at the airport by President Elburt Ferguson and Past President Ken Strachan (also from the Rotary Club of New Providence)

Efforts are currently being made to having the collected items be distributed by Rotary Bahamas to assist persons affected in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.

These efforts are greatly appreciated and we wish to continue to humbly solicit the support of Rotarians throughout District 7020 and the greater body of Rotary International in our quest to meet the needs of victims of Hurricane Matthew. #hurricanematthew #rotary #bahamas
