The Future of Cash and Payments

Rumours about the “death of cash” are, like the Mark Twain quote, greatly exaggerated.

The cash and payment industry is certainly very dynamic and is going through a number of dramatic changes based on changes in technology and in legislation around the world. There are also a new companies entering the payment industry such as iZettle and Klarna.
And then there are the mysterious cryptocurrencies such as BitCoin. But as Pehr Gyllenhammar is attributed as saying, Cash is still king and remains the no 1 payment method globally.

Our guest speaker, Patrik Andersson, is head of Loomis AB, one of the world leaders in cash/valuables management with operations in 23 countries and a turnover of about 20bn SEK. Patrik will share some of his insights into the future role of cash in the payments system.
He has a business degree from the University of Lund and an MBA from Copenhagen Business School. He spent 12 years at Unilever in different roles and has been CEO for a number of food companies including Wasa and Procordia. He joined Loomis AB as President & CEO in 2016. He is also a board member of AAK and Ecolean.

This will be hybrid meeting held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Malmö and virtually on Zoom. A maximum of 15 participants will be permitted to be in the meeting room. Patrik will present via Zoom.
