We live in an ever more complex world and yet we often need to move fast and do so in cooperation with others. Much of the important work that we need to do involves coordinating within teams and making the most of our unique strengths and expertise towards shared goals. The tasks seem to become ever more difficult, and the landscape seems more uncertain and fast-changing. We need to get teams to work effectively together to navigate complex problems. But how do we do that?
Our guest speaker Marco Valente is a facilitator at Cultivating Leadership, a global consulting company that helps leaders thrive in complexity. Tonight he will share some insights from complexity science about why it is so difficult to navigate in these uncertain times and also provide practices for teams to try and navigate complexity together. Marco has a Master of Arts in Communication Science and a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership for Sustainability, as well as years of experience as a university lecturer.
This will be a hybrid meeting held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Malmö, and virtually on Zoom. Those who attend the meeting at the hotel have the option to stay for dinner afterward.
Guests are warmly welcome at Malmö International Rotary meetings, either in-person or virtually. If you want to join us for dinner in the hotel restaurant after the meeting, please plan to arrive in the hotel lobby by 17:45 so that we can help you order a discounted meal from the restaurant menu. We look forward to seeing you!
