Tonight's guest speaker, Anders Östlund, CEO Öresundskraft AB, says our planet demands sustainability NOW, but the
capacity and infrastructure isn’t there yet. The world has a dilemma. It is widely accepted that fossil fuels are bad for the environment, so let's go electric. No problem. But as we turn to electricity as our principle form of energy we have huge problems. The demand is increasing rapidly but the capacity to generate electrical energy in a carbon-neutral way and the infrastructure to move it around is lagging far behind the demand. It’s going to take new inspiration, technological advances and far-sighted political courage to bridge the gap.

So what are we going to do? Anders Östlund is the CEO at Öresundskraft since 2008 – an ”Östgöte” on a lifelong and
happy exile in Skåne. He loves to work in the energy industry because of its major impact on the development of society and the everyday life for the citizens. Anders will discuss with us some of the challenges and fresh thinking that will be needed and some of the activities that he and Öresundskraft are involved in such as the new strategy with focus on sustainability. With the vision ”For a better world” as a guiding star, he leads Öresundskraft into the future.

Anders will present live at the Radisson hotel and will also be broadcast on Zoom for those who wish to join the meeting
virtually.

A maximum of 15 participants will be permitted in the meeting room to allow for safe social distancing.
