John Nanni to Speak on Polio Plus

John Nanni, a leader in Rotary's campaign to rid the world of the scourge of polio, will speak to our club on October 1. Mr.Nanni's address, entitled "The 3 P’s in my Life:  Polio, Post-Polio Syndrome and Rotary’s PolioPlus" is especially timely in light of the upcoming World Polio Day on October 24th. Mr. Nanni a survivor of polio, stricken in 1953, just prior to the advent of the Salk vaccine. He went on from this to become a successful businessman and a dedicated Rotarian. He is a member of the Paul Harris Society and of the of Rotary Foundation Benefactor Endowment. He currently serves as President of the Rotary Club of Middletown-Odessa, Delaware, and has also received Rotary’s Regional Service Award for a Polio Free World.
