Today, we had the opportunity to hear from our very own club member, John Lothrop. John has worked hard for several years on the Hope House project.

This effort to help the homeless families with children in Sedona has quickly gained the support of the wider community. At any particular time there are 20-30+ homeless children in the Sedona-Oak Creek Unified School District. By working together with the school district, Hope House is able to serve some of our most vulnerable community members: our children.

Hope House operates under the values and beliefs of:
  • Homelessness is often temporary and can be overcome with personal healing, educational assistance, housing, and employment.
  • Accept the need to be accountable through appropriate structures for achieving high standards of competence and performance, done so in love and with dignity.
Hope House has achieved great success in their fundraising efforts and broke ground on their new home in Uptown Sedona over the summer. They have foundation in and the plans for a beautiful, yet compact home are in place. What a gift to the Sedona community!
