Linnette Phillips, Pontiac Director of Econ Dev

Linnette Phillips is Director of Economic and Community Development for the City of Pontiac. She has worked in economic and business development in various capacities including, the State of Michigan Talent Investment Agency, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) with Community Ventures and Policy and Strategies. She is also an entrepreneur and has a company; Project Concepts, LLC which provides business analysis services to clients is several states.

 

Ms. Phillips has over 20 years of experience as a seasoned financial and business analyst and project manager. She has worked with several small businesses, financial entities, community organizations and government agencies to enhance business and economic development. She has been instrumental in assisting with business start-ups, expansions and connecting them to resources. She has worked with community organizations in enhancing best practices, securing financing and forging partnerships and collaborative activities.

 

A native of Flint, Michigan and from a family of entrepreneurs, Ms. Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University in Package Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategic Planning from UCLA. In addition to Michigan, she has lived in Indiana and California but proud to be in home state, Michigan.
