Joe Bauman announced some very sad news. John Frank a dedicated and longtime Rotarian passed away over the weekend. John is the grandfather of Bryan Frank. Family will receive friends, Thursday Sept 3 2-8 p.m at A.J Desmond & Sons 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile) with funeral service at 10 am Friday Sept 4 visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Memorial Contributions to Birmingham Rotary Endowment Fund c/o Community House, 380 Bates, Birmingham, MI 48009

Two Minute Update: Charles Wickins spoke about his visit to Evanston, Illinois to visit the Rotary International and the Evanston Club. It is his recommendation that we all try to visit to learn even more about this great organization we are all a part of.

50/50 & Card Draw –Regan Gilshire was the 50/50 raffle winner…like mother, like daughter.

Sheriff: Frannie Greenbaum did a wonderful job as sheriff. Several dedications went to John Frank and Molly Swart welcomed Pete Kreher back and blew a kiss from across the room.
Regan Gilshire and Dave Underdown each celebrating wedding anniversaries. Regan is still in the honeymoon stage at 2 years while Dave is celebrating 47 years.

Speaker: Lauren E. Anderson DDS, MS Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology Dr. Lauren Anderson received her B.S. in Biology, D.D.S., and M.S. in Periodontics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Anderson is a Michigan Board certified Periodontist and diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. During her masters training, she completed her thesis on implant-related soft tissue augmentation, published research articles in reputable implant and orthodontic journals, and lectured on topics in the implant and periodontic fields. She was elected as an American Academy of Periodontology Student Ambassador and served on the Advanced Dental Education Honor System Review Committee among other positions. She is a recipient of the Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award of Excellence, the Sigurd P. Ramfjord Award for Excellence, the Billy A. Smith Award, the Ben Duff Fellowship Award and the Russell W. Bunting Study Club Award. In her spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing sports, and traveling.
