Our club members have been invited by Sarah Meredith (a member of our Glenferrie Grinners Team) to participate in Global Citizen's World Polio Day 2020 activities.

Along with Rotary, RESULTS Australia, UNICEF Australia and Polio Australia, World Polio Day, which occurs this year on 24 October, is an important day in Sarah's organisation (Global Citizen's) annual calendar to ensure the fight to end polio remains front and centre for key decision makers and influencers.  Typically, we host a high level reception event at Parliament House in Canberra that attracts Government Ministers, renowned health experts and always a colourful brigade of local Rotarians.

This year, we are hoping to maintain this momentum and make a splash digitally instead and would love to have your club join us!  There are two ways that you can get involved:
  1. Attend our World Polio Day Virtual Event at 6.30pm - 7.30pm on Wednesday 21 October
  2. Share a video or photos featuring your club's efforts to fundraise for End Polio Now on social media - the more creative and fun the better!
So let's join Sarah and our Glenferrie Grinners Team and celebrate World Polio Day with a difference.

Cheers
Cheryl (and Sarah)
