ClubRunner is the club's new administration and communication software and once you get used to it, you will love it. The software now adopted by the club is fully integrated with the  District 9800 database and MyRotary, and replaces both Streamscape and Ri-Cas, as well as the need to update MyRotary membership data separately. Each week I will put in a ClubRunner tip to help you gain familiarity with your new software. This week, the tip is around inputting phone numbers into your Member Profile, and why you should download the ClubRunner App to your mobile.
With the ClubRunner App on your mobile, you can dial or text members directly from ClubRunner, and not just members of the Rotary Club of Glenferrie, but any Rotarian in District 9800. You can catch up on club stories without having to go to the website, check club events, access the website of any club in the District and, of course, the District website itself. You can catch up on District stories and the stories of all D9800 clubs who are on ClubRunner. But perhaps the most useful is the ability to be able to dial members directly, without having to maintian your own contacts list on your phone.

One important tip though!  ClubRunner uses the international phone number protocol when dialling out, i.e. it reads and inserts the prefix +61 (for Australia). So when updating your member profile on the club website it is important to leave off the leading zero on your phone number. For example my home phone number is: 9809 1640.  Normally when putting my number into a database I insert (03) 9809 1640. However ClubRunner will dial that leading zero if it is inserted, and the dialup will fail. So when inputting my number, the correct way to input it is:  3 9809 1640. ClubRunner automatically attaches the +61.

No need to do anything now though. The correction has been made when uploading your phone number. Keep this in mind though if you need to change your phone number at any time.

You can download the ClubRunner App for your mobile from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store, or by clicking on the 'ClubRunner for iOS and Android' button on the club's Home Page.
