The Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 20th November starting at 8.00am.
Apologies were received from Len Seddon, Chris Brock, Rob Lawrence, Anne McMahon, Peter Donnellan.
 
The Minutes of the previous AGM held on Wednesday 11th November 2018 were moved by Jon Temby and seconded by Cody Bettanin. Carried.
Treasurer Sam Nicol reported on the club financial records for 2018-2019 with an explanation for the loss being due to a/ funds being received in the previous financial year for the Festival of arts & Ideas, b/ funds being received from Foundation in a different year to expenditure, and c/ additional expenditure on local community projects not budgeted for.
As the auditor has not finalised the accounts, the approval of these will be delayed until February when a special meeting will be called to do so.
 
President Lesley McCarthy then advised that the Annual Report had been circulated by email and thanked all Board Members for their assistance and contributions.

She then called for nominations for the position of President 2020-2021.  As no nominations were received, she advised that there had been one nomination, that of Anne Heyes.  She moved than Anne be ratified as President, seconded Sam Nicol. Carried.
 
Nominations were then called for the position of Secretary.  As there were no nominations, Lesley advised that there had been one nomination, that of Lesley McCarthy. Moved Cody Bettanin, seconded Jon Temby. Carried.
 
Nominations were then called for the position of Treasurer.  As there were no nominations, Lesley advised that there had been one nomination, that of Sam Nicol. Moved Peter Cribb, seconded Matiu Bush. Carried.
 
General Business:  Peter Cribb then raised the question of the club and our purpose.  He asked members to consider our role and what we were prepared to do and how we were disconnected from the community.  In light of the document we were asked to complete, the future of the club must be discussed.
