As we start the year hoping for one much better than the last, already there has been plenty of activity.
There was a very successful FORaMEAL packing event on Sunday 17 January with volunteers from Afri-Aus Care Inc and Mates for Change. Over 8000 meals were packaged and the event was a trial run for the smaller scale self managed packaging event which the Club hopes to foster throughout this year.
We kicked off our first gathering with a social on Monday 18 January which was very kindly hosted at Lili-Ann and Pierre Kriegler's home. It was a great night with many partners in attendance and also our prospective member Hans Carlborg.
Then on Australia Day the Club combined with other Clubs in our rotary cluster to showcase rotary at an event held at Victoria Park. Funding was provided by the Australia Day Council to assist Clubs to be part of an Australia wide event. Thanks to all the members who helped out with the organisation and providing advice to the public on the day. Please see further details of the event below.
