We are looking for mentors for the 2019-20 cohort of senior police sergeants.  Senior sergeants manage around 70% of the VicPol workforce.  In summary, the objective of Leaders Mentoring program is to:

  • Develop leadership skills in a community service setting
  • Build community partnerships, managing stakeholder relationships and building networks
  • Apply business management approaches to community service planning and delivery

The mentees are expected to develop a community engagement project during the program, which is where Rotarian experience is invaluable.

Mentors need:

  • sound knowledge of how Rotary is managed at Club and District level
  • current or recent business management experience
  • sufficient time to commit to the program – it starts with a mentor briefing on 7th October and there are a few ‘touch points’ with the Steering Committee through the year.
  • been personally involved in meaningful community engagement programs or projects
  • the endorsement of their Club President and the support of their club
Applications are due by September 16th.

A mentor guidelines document and an application form are available from Rosemary Waghorne or Steve Wylie who are happy to answer any queries and forward the forms to anyone who is interested.
