Building the Future

Clay Adams was recruited from West Chester, Pa. to play football at Dartmouth College. After graduation from Dartmouth he moved to Washington, DC and worked in consulting for four years prior to returning to Dartmouth to earn his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business. Following Tuck, Clay moved to Boston where he worked for several years for Mercer Management Consulting.

In 2002 Clay and his wife, Liz, returned to the Upper Valley and settled in Norwich, when he was hired as Chief Operating Officer of Resources Systems Group (RSG). Over the next ten years Clay became the Chief Executive Officer of RSG and helped it to grow from one office and 25 employees to seven offices nationwide and 100 employees.

In 2012 Clay left RSG when he was recruited to become the CEO of Simon Pearce.

Clay is active in the community. He has chaired the Vital Communities board of directors and the Norwich Land Management Council. He currently chairs the board of Delta Dental of Vermont. Clay is also on the Board of Directors of Mascoma Savings Bank.

He resides in Norwich with his wife and two children.
