ROTARY TREE PLANTING – September 13, 2014

The rain was constant – but fortunately had softened the ground for the 200 trees and shrubs planting by Rotarians and their families, Rotaracters and Interacters.  This second “Family of Rotary” was held at  Vanier Park, (McLaughlin & Elgin),which is a City of Brampton park.  Our partner on this event was Credit Valley Conservation who provided the plants and equipment, along with snacks and expertise.   Our Rotary club provided a donation of $2000 to this organization for the plant material.

Thank you to all who came out on a cold, wet September Saturday.  The effort was much appreciated.  In a few years a new forest will be our contribution – and our younger volunteers will remember this experience when they see the plants mature.
