Bolton Rotary is proposing a new  Rotary Generations Park at the corner of  Kingsview and Rotarian Way. Michael Hoy, Manager of Parks and Natural Heritage with the Town of Caledon will be presenting concepts for consideration on April 15 at our weekly business meeting.    Mayor Groves and councillors will join us at this meeting.

Has it been 30 years since we began hosting the annual golf classic?  Over that time we have provided $2million+ in proceeds to local groups and charities in the Caledon area.  This year we are scheduled for Thurs. May 23 at Caledon Woods Golf Club!  REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  We are sold out our 144 spots!  Become a sponsor and build the charitable base of our biggest fundraiser.
MAKE A LOAN, CHANGE A LIFE!   Bolton Rotary and Kiva have partnered to make an even greater impact on communities around the world, one loan at a time. Our money has been re-loaned three full times now, helping 133 women, in 23 countries. The average loan has been $350. Our default rate is only 0.02%!  This is a world wide organization, active in over 80 countries, that administers micro loans to individuals, mostly single mothers. The Club became involved a few years ago with an initial investment of $5000 USD. This money is loaned out in small amounts, generally to purchase agricultural supplies or equipment, and is then paid back over time to then be re-loaned to the next recipient. There are partner agencies in the local area that administer the applications and the loans, and Dave keeps a close on the applications and the money. So far there have been a total of 4.9 million borrowers worldwide. For more info visit KIVA.org

The Rotary Club of Bolton has had great success with their Caledon Kids First Program!  It is a funding program in sports and wellness programs for families in need.  Youth have participated in dance, soccer, karate, skating, baseball, hockey, music, swimming, etc.  and over the 5 years we have sponsored 155 youth under 18.

Kelley Potter's remarks at 2023 Remembrance Day Ceremony a heartfelt tribute ....
Today, I wanted to talk to you about Vimy Ridge. By 1917, after three years of fruitless slaughter, the First World War had become a struggle of attrition. The opposing Allied and German armies were stuck in a stalemate on the Western Front — a vast line of trench works stretching from the North Sea through Belgium and France to the Swiss border. Millions of soldiers on both sides had been killed and wounded in battles that brought the war no closer to an end....keep reading

We were so proud to be recognized by Caledon Fire and Emergency Services for our contribution to their Shop With a Firefighter campaign last year.  Donations go toward 20 children of families in need so they can purchase Christmas presents for family members, wrap them at the local firehall and enjoy breakfast with the crew.  A very rewarding and heartfelt program to be in partnership.
What a great time at our Haunted Hill run!  100 runners were dressed in costume and ready to race.  Happy smiles when they received their medal, goodie bag, tshirt and lots of food and snacks after the run.  Thank you to our volunteers from Bolton Guides and Alphadogs Humberview Robotics team!  Of course we couldn't do it without our generous sponsors....All-Lift Ltd, Banas Stones, Bolton Park Dentistry, Bolton Veterinary Hospital,  Bolton Carpet and Interiors, Core Financial Group, Fines Ford, in Memory of Bob Smith, Metalcraft Spinning and Stamping, Nobleton Veterinary Clinic, Rafat, Ri-Go Lift Truck, Scotiabank, Sierra Excavating

Bob and Sherrin presented images of their
recent trip to India.  This team of Rotarians visited many school sites and did a polio innoculation day.  With only 7 current new cases,
and continued vigilance we can succeed with polio eradication in 2016.  A truly awesome accomplishment spearheaded by Rotary.
