Celebrate Australian Rotary Health's 40th Birthday

In the year 2000 PDG Terry Edwards AM became the 7th Chairman of the Australian Rotary Health Board of Directors.

That same year, we offered our first round of research grants on the topic of mental illness.

This year is 40 years of ARH! Celebrate with us by donating to our birthday fundraiser page today.

Bowel Cancer Awareness Month

June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month!

Bowel cancer claims the lives of 101 Australians every week (5,255 people a year) - but it's one of the most treatable types of cancer if found early.

Australian medical guidelines recommend screening every 2 years between ages 50-74.

Read about current ARH-funded bowel cancer projects:

Indigenous Health Scholar Spotlight: Anthony Nicholls

"I chose to study health and I believe that this is my calling as an Indigenous leader. I am fully aware of the well-documented health outcomes that the Australian Government continues to bring to light on Indigenous populations. I am blessed to have mustered the courage to complete an Honours degree in Sport Science, and am on the path to completing a Master of Physiotherapy. With both research and clinical skills in health and sport, I am embarking on a holistic approach to help mob within community sport and recreational activity."
