Our last meeting for 2019 saw PE James deliver the Christmas message and Mark & Irish report back on our International Project and visit to Bohol in the Philippines. We also found time to see what goodies were delivered by the Secret Santa.

President Chris delivered a short report which centered on our upcoming vocational visit to the site of our proposed All abilities Playgrounds at Grahame Stewart Park, Currimundi on the 14th Jan 2020.
Mark & Irish reported on the trip to the Childrens' home in Bohol. They presented the "Teacher in a Box" kit which included a router suitable for up to 100 devices, a laptop and six tablets. Chrissy from Darry's travel agency is arranging another six devices. The project included support for the community health centre - Caloundra's $2,500 provided a dental chair and medical equipment. Rotary Clubs from Baldwin and Gladstone are also providing support. The local RC Tagbilaran is also involved.

The children were very pleased to receive the backpacks gifted by our members
Our team were also able to sample the fish from the fish farm supported by our previous project in Bohol
President Elect James gave a Christmas address with the theme "Gifts which keep on giving"
He related a recent story from his work with the Salvation Army
where they were able to help someone out with a replacement car
The buyer of the old $500 car was a woman with two children who they were able to help out with accommodation.
James also spoke if the Donations in Kind (DIK) project and his Rotary years in PNG
where the arrival of the DIK containers was a highlight
He spoke of his 70th birthday, the love of his wife, family and church
and the gifts of Jesus and eternal life
We finished with the Secret Santa
