Erected by PDG Trevor Taylor 2018

PDG Trevor Taylor led several humanitarian project teams to Gizo in the Solomon Islands.

In October 2011, Jim Adam returned to Gizo for his second working visit to Gizo. He arrived on October 10 and spent his first working day at Ngari school. On the night of 11 October he suffered a heart attack and died at Gizo.
Jim joined the Rotary Club of Caloundra in February 2006. By July 2006 he was club treasurer. He was President Elect in 2008 and served as President during 2009-10.  Jim had a special spot for support of research into mental health.  He was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow in July 2011. Vale Jim

In October 2012, Tim Richards from Burleigh Heads Rotary was working in Gizo. Like Jim, he too suffered a heart attack and died in Gizo.

Note the hats Trevor is holding.  Owned by Jim and Tim, they have remained hanging at Cegily Guest house welcoming guests to the lodge.  Rest in peace our good friends!
