Just a brief reminder of the Maleny Rotary’s World Polio Day dinner on Wednesday 28th October. Details attached.
At this stage we have over 40 attendees and as the Maleny RSL can comfortably fit 80 under COVID-19 rules we are very keen to increase the numbers.
If there are members, or friends of your club interested in attending could they please let me know by this Saturday 24th so I can confirm catering.

For more than 30 years Rotary International (RI) and its partners have driven the effort to eradicate polio worldwide. Rotary members have contributed more than $2.1 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries from this paralyzing disease.
In 1988 there were 350,000 cases of polio in 125 countries. Today only two countries (Afghanistan and Pakistan) report cases of wild poliovirus.
Rotary has committed to raising $50 million per year for polio eradication The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has pledged to match that 2-to-1, for a total commitment of $150 million each year.
The Rotary Club of Maleny donates a minimum of $1,000 each year to ending polio worldwide.
