Assembling School Backpacks Day 1

This year we have joined with Back Packs for Kids who supply homeless and low-income students in Washington County with backpacks filled with required school supplies. In the past we have contributed about 30 backpacks.  This year we will join forces with B4K and help assemble about 1,000 needed back packs.  We have been assigned the middle school table.  Our job will be to assemble school supplies needed for the middle school age students.  All the back packs and school supplies will be availble, we just show up at the Elks Lodge put them together and deliver them to the assigned schools.  We did donate $2,000 for supplies & backpacks.  We will work 2 days, Thursday August 5 & Friday August 6 from 9:00 am to about 1:00 pm.  The more people we have volunteer the faster we finish.  So sign up and bring your friends and family to support another great cause in our community.
