Rotary Global Swimarathon – Singapore started in 2016. This event is organized by Rotary Club of Singapore. 2018 event is the 3rd year we are organizing this event.

We are swimming to raise funds for 2 beneficiaires, (1) End Polio Now campaign and (2) FOOTBALLPLUS.

We have more than 150 members, Rotarians, in Rotary Club of Singapore. We believe and recognise the noble efforts carried out by the 2 beneficiaries. Through this event, we want to help raise funds and awareness of the work that has been done by these 2 beneficaires and hopefully they can receive more support from the general public at large.

Our goals for 2018

Number of swimmers: 250
Number of laps: 4,000 (Each lap is 100m)
Target fund to raise: SG$40,000.00

We hope that you can help us to raise funds toward our goal of SG$40,000. We appreciate any amount of donation.

This swimarathon is open to everyone to participate, of all swimming abilities and ages. Please join us

How will the fund be used?

(1) End Polio Now campaign is a global effort started by Rotary International more than 30 years ago with the ambitious goal of eradicating the life-damaging disease, Polio, from the world for good. 99.90% of the world is now declared free of polio. Efforts must continue to achieve 100% and maintain polio vaccination to millions of children in the developing world for the years to come to ensure an eventual polio-free world. Funds raised will go toward vaccination, support network, transportation & logistics, etc. https://www.endpolio.org/

(2) FOOTBALLPLUS is a Singapore charity organization that uses football and sports activities to help change lives and build stronger communities. They aspire to become change agents through sports by enabling disadvanatged young people to fulfill their potential. The core of their mission is to develop character and attitude of each player so that they have a firm foundation for their lives on and off the pitch. They invest in the players and provide opportunities for growth to strength them for the future. Funds raised will go toward venue rental, purchase of traininng equipment, training apparels, etc. http://sg.footballplus.org/
