Dr Ben Miller
The management of the King’s Park and Bold Park bushland”

The Rotary Club of Dalkeith have endorsed the nomination of Jeremy Thomas, to receive the Club’s inaugural  Vocational Service Excellence Award. This is in recognition of the outstanding contribution being made by his team in the advancement of arboriculture management of Kings Park. It is of particular significance in this Rotary International Year, where our current World President Australian Ian Riseley, has challenged our 1.2 million Rotarians involvement to plant a tree. This will be seen as their contribution to environmental sustainability.

We would like to extend an invitation to Jeremy to attend one of our evening dinner meetings to formally recognise his achievements and present the Award. He is welcome to invite a guest.

Normally the meeting schedules a guest speaker and we would be delighted to have Dr Ben Miller, if available, to provide us with a twenty minute address on the scientific achievements of the Kings Park Botanic Garden. He would be able to discuss plans for the future, with possible reference as to how the Dalkeith Rotary Club might be able to contribute.
