Hello everyone

Some of you will be aware that last summer a small group of Rotarians took part in the Cromwell Bowling Club community bowls each Tuesday evening. We played in teams of 3 against other businesses from around town - it was great fun and we often featured in the prize-winners - beginners luck is a great thing !!

This year we are moving it up a notch and opening it up to all Rotarians and friends of Rotary. Rotary team shirts have been arranged - we will make a statement this year!!

Sally has already heard from about 15 of you who’d like to be in the teams but it’s not too late to decide lawn bowls is for you. You will not need to be available every Tuesday evening - cos there are lots of substitutes.

The summer season runs each Tuesday 6-8pm Nov 10- Dec 15 followed by socialising round the club bar.

AND because we don’t have any plans for this Monday Nov 2, Sally is running a very simple coaching session at 6pm on Monday November 2 starting 6pm. It’s at the bowling club in Alpha St and open to all wannabe bowlers and support crew ;). And please come along even if you don’t want to be in a team. You can have a go at bowls just for the fun of it!

You don’t need your own bowls but you must wear flat soled shoes - any sort of tread that could hide a pebble is forbidden !! And bare feet are not permitted either. The club looks after the artificial green very zealously !

Please register on the schedule to indicate your attendance on Monday night.

And if you have questions please call Sally 0274 479 338 / 445 3385.

See you there
