The Rotary Club of Port Nicholson has teamed up with The Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves to plant native trees at the Woodburn Reserve on Sunday, 11 August starting at 1:30pm.

Our goal is to build on what we did last year and continue planting native trees in Tawa to:

  • regenerate our native bush
  • provide habitat and food for the increasing numbers of native birds
  • make lovely walking areas for us all, and
  • help slow down global warming

This planting also supports the Rotary International 1.2 million Tree Challenge that is underway.

It’s time to rally together with friends and family, and the Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves to plant native trees at the Woodburn Reserve.

Interact and Rotaract members are welcome to take part.

There will be afternoon tea too!  Lisa will be busy baking.

Where: Please meet at 183 Bing Lucas Drive at 1.30pm.  Please park where possible at the end of the Road barrier and there’s only a short walk a little further along the road past barrier.  Lisa will meet you there.

What to bring: Dress for muddy gardening work and bring your garden gloves and a spade if you have them.  There will be extra spades so no worries if you don’t have one.

Please accept this invitation if you’re able to join us, and register family and friends who will be coming along too. The more the merrier!

Thank you so much for your support!  I’m looking forward to planting lots of trees with you :-)
