Advances in Hepatitis C Cure

Dr. Gane is Professor of Medicine at the University of Auckland, New Zealand and Chief Hepatologist, Transplant Physician and Deputy Director of the New Zealand Liver Transplant Unit at AucklandCityHospital.

He also the founder of Auckland Clinical Studies which occupies a major site in Grafton, where numerous clinical trials are held. It is here that Ed tested the new generation of drugs for the treatment of Hepatitis C, which have effectively led to a 100% cure of this virus.

In May 2011, Dr. Gane was awarded  the Member of the Order of New Zealand for Services to Medicine
