ShelterBox New Zealand

 

Shelterbox NZ is an affiliate of the World Shelterbox Trust and in its own right a Registered Charity in New Zealand. Similar to our more well-known Emergency Box Programme, that sits under the Umbrella of Rotary NZ World Community Service, it also qualifies the Donor for a NZ Tax Deduction from the IRD.
 
Shelterbox has a far wider scope than that of the Pacific Islands covered by the Rotary District Regions from NZ however, it does want to play a closer role in our area of interest and could only but complement our existing efforts with our ERK’s.
 
The major changes that Shelterbox has introduced is the evaluation of each crisis immediately it occurs and the tailoring of the products/assistance to purpose fit the need. They now offer Shelter Tents, Shelter Tool Kits, Solar Water Kits, Shelter Boxes and Solar Light Kits.
 
This Worldwide Organisation was founded by Rotary in West Cornwall in the UK, retains a RI Director on its board and is heavily reliant and inclusive of Rotarians to expedite the action at ground level making it well worthwhile supporting so jump on the website and be your own judge of its worth.
