Our Rotary Youth Exchange students Lily (Inbound from France) and Cassidy (Outbound to Argentina) spent the weekend immersed in the Maori Culture and hospitality of Ta Tahawai Marae at Edgewater College, alongside the other Inbound and Outbound students of the district. For many of the students, this was their first Powhiri and over the weekend they enjoyed the experience of learning about Maori customs and traditions firsthand. The Rotary part of the weekend involved sessions preparing the Outbounds for their upcoming exchange and the Inbounds for their challenge of fundraising for an ERK, their South Island trip and Rotary Conference.
