Rachelle presented us with a very interesting and thought provoking presentation that even upgraded her father’s knowledge as to the extent and depth of her very interesting career at Air New Zealand.

The overview of Rachelle’s Silicon Valley visit was just a small part of the path of where some of the many questions that followed led Rachelle’s general depth of her subject. The nice aspect of her presentation was Rachelle’s warm and calm response to several topical questions from some of us older relics who as yet still find these huge technical innovations so challenging. Although Steve tried hard to put us on the right track.

Rachelle covered the positioning and fight for talent in Silicon Valley. The competition that exists, between the big players, in building structural extravagances and staff privileges also in the Investment in employee engagement.

Rachelle also talked about the rapid pace that Technology was driving change in Transport and Business in general. Very interesting that Uber, who we probably thought was simply a taxi type company is actually a market leader and very innovative with logistic in general and imagine them testing out pilotless planes in our own backyard, all scary stuff but so interesting.

Thank you Rachelle.
