Last weekend a Working Bee was held out at our Kokako Lodge Camp at Hunua Falls and was a trial to involve Rotoracters and RYLA Alumni to work alongside Rotarians. Enjoy some fellowship and to give the Camp a well needed Clean-up following a wet winter.

Thanks to Warren, Tijin, Ted, Allan & Lois and Mike & Sue for your support and hard work as the place certainly looked cleaner at the end. But dare I say it ,we need to yet get another day organised.

Thanks to Rumbie Muzawazi a past RYLARIAN and Rotoracter as she did her best to encourage a team of her peers to attend.  However just like Rotary, she was so disappointed with the numbers that she achieved. Those that did come achieved great and it was really appreciated by the Kokako Staff.

Interestingly Rumbie told me that her generation can’t be organised in advance as they only plan at the last minute.  Where as in my Rotary experience, we always need heaps of notice as we are planners.  What is the world coming too as near the twain shall meet?

Please be reminded that this Camp has been placed under our wing to lend a hand where needed and our two Trustees need our full supporters, they are doing a great job.
The new Kitchen looks great and the photos show the new Stainless-Steel Dishwasher and Fittings.
