Information from Madison about her great project to promote Rotary. Please support Madison.

Hi everyone,

I recently attended a Wellington South meeting today to speak about my experiences with RYLA and Rotary. Something unexpected came about because of this, an idea, that I believe could potentially change the way Rotary and Rotarians are viewed by the general public.

After talking to Sister Catherine, and from my conversations with many of you I have come to realise just how incredible all Rotarians are, the amazing things they do outside of Rotary and in their past. Rotary is about so much more than just the projects we do, it is also about the people.

I would like to begin an interview series with your members, aiming to bring together a one or two-page document that briefly covers their lives, achievements and tries to capture their spirit. This would probably happen by me or another member of Rotaract sitting down with them for an hour or so. These Q and A documents would then be published to my members (to help them get to know how amazing Rotarian are), perhaps to your members, but also online (if the person consented to this).

I believe that for young people, seeing the kind of quality people that choose to be a part of Rotary says something about Rotary that words never could, and I'm very excited about this.

Please let me know if this is something your club might be interested in, the more Rotarians involved the better!

All the best,

Madison Faber
