Earlier this month Category 4 Tropical Cyclone Gita left the tiny island kingdom of Tonga devas-tated. Gita, the strongest storm system to ever pass through the nation left many homeless, a death toll and some seriously injured in its wake.
Thanks to the quick efforts by Rotary Tonga with timely support by neighbouring nations and other countries in the 9920 Rotary district and beyond, relief supplies and emergency response kits (ERKs) were quickly mobilised to victims through-out the country.
Rotary Tonga wishes to thank the Rotary 9920 leadership and friends from Rotary In-ternational for the timely assistance, warm mes-sages of support, thoughts and prayers. Recon-struction has already begun to rebuild the king-dom.
