Sunday the 9th December  at the Howick Santa Parade.

The Community committee once again set the club marquee up on the Hawthornden Reserve in Cook Street for the Santa Parade sausage sizzle.

We had two BBQ’s on the go and several tables with sausages, sauces, water and various  fizzy drinks. We had Club banners flying all round the marquee and tied between trees.

It really did give the Rotary Club of Howick a Very High profile.

It was a very successful day and not only did we make a profit we had sausages drinks and other items that can be used at our next event.

I would like to thank Pat for doing all of the shopping and the other members of the committee that got involved, some very early going to the lock up and others that helped to set up the site and man the BBQ’s on a very hot and windy day.

A special thank you to Geoff Thompson our adopted community committee member for the day.

All in all a very successful day for the Rotary Club of Howick and especially for the Community Committee.

Well done everyone.
