Rotary~Business Gathering
Oct 20: Central Lakes Rotarians and Pequot Business & Community Leaders to share thoughts
An invitations have been sent to Pequot Lakes business and community leaders to join us for a lite evening meal "Build your own Sandwich" and open discussion meeting. We will meet in the Brenny Reception area at 5:30pm.
Since this will be our first such meeting and hopefully if successful, will generate other meetings in the future with Pine River and Crosslake leaders. Briefly, here is what the meeting will be about and hopeful outcomes.
1) Provide a setting for CL Rotary members and business/community leaders to network, interact and learn more about each other.
2) Provide a brief overview of the projects Central Lakes Rotary are doing and have done within the area community and internationally. (soft sale introduction to Rotary)
3) Provide an environment for business/community leaders to talk about their community goals, challenges and what things we might be able to join together on. (an example projects would be the playground equipment @ the PR Dam Park, Bicycle Ride for Water, STRIVE etc.)
Outcomes:
A. Business/community leaders become more aware of Rotary and its' contributions to the area.
B. Potentially identify a community project CL Rotary might join in with, potential grants etc.
C. Build stronger relationships and connections with area leaders
This will be an additional event to our regular Tues. morning meeting and will count as a makeup if you are in so need. I hope that we will have good representation from our club as one on one interaction with community leaders is an excellent new member prospecting interaction.
