The 21st Annual Golf Fore Kids

The 21^th Annual Golf for Kids is approaching quickly! This year’s event will take place at Kenwo Golf Club in New Minas on Friday,  June 9^th. The proceeds from this tournament help Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Annapolis Valley and Rotary Club of New Minas Sunrise make significant contributions to our community. It is with the support of people like you that we are able to continue to make a difference.

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides programs to children in Annapolis, Kings and West Hants Counties and the task of matching youth with an adult mentor requires resources. The value of Big Brothers Big Sisters programs have been well documented and prove that mentoring programs benefit children, volunteers and the community as a whole.

The Rotary Club of New Minas uses funds from the tournament to support many youth and community focused initiatives, such as breakfast programs and the splash park.

Golf for Kids requires approximately five months to organize and is completed by dedicated volunteers. Funding is always a challenge for charities and Golf for Kids is a significant event for both organizations.

Team registration fees pay for most of the tournament expenses, but the majority of funds raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Rotary come from sponsorships.
