Dear Friends,

On Super Bowl weekend we undertook the single largest community outreach event in the history of The Open Door, and thanks to your help the event was a tremendous success. You joined over 200 community members who volunteered their time to bag groceries, sell Cub Cares bags of food, and spread the mission of The Open Door to thousands of shoppers at all 3 Cub Store locations in Eagan.

Thanks to your generous gift of time, energy, and enthusiasm we raised nearly $30,000 in cash and food donations!

The collective impact of your efforts goes far beyond the dollars raised and the food collected...your time and efforts helped bring the issue of hunger in our community front and center on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year, and helped hundreds of shoppers learn about our mission of ending local hunger through access to healthy food.

This event took more than volunteer power...it also took financial support. Home Federal and Cub Foods laid the ground work as title sponsors, and are deserving of our gratitude as well as our support. Superior Service Center and Liberty Title, and all of our sponsors listed on the right side of this page gave to make this event the success that it was.  Please support the companies and individuals who support The Open Door.

Thank you. Thank you for giving up time on your weekend, thank you for putting yourself out there and talking to strangers, thank you for representing The Open Door with compassion and class.

With Deepest Gratitude,

Jason Viana, Executive Director The Open Door

Scott Swenson, Market President Home Federal
