YMCA Youth in Government

Join us and a group of Eagan community leaders on the Youth In Government tour!  Did you know that Eagan has a delegation of Eagan High School students! Over 1600 students from all over Minnesota are expected to join us for Model Assembly this year. We are excited to showcase this amazing program by offering you a chance to see our students in action, check out the newly renovated State Capitol, and see what being a leader really means to our young people. 
 
This is an opportunity you will not want to miss and guarantee you will be amazed watching the students in action.  We will provide transportation from the Eagan YMCA (550 Opperman Drive).  Please send your RSVP to Nate Danielson at nathan.danieslon@ymcamn.org  or 651-747-0873.

Friday January 11th
12:30- bus leaves the Eagan Y (550 Opperman Drive)
1:30- Capitol Programs Tour
The capital hosts the House and Senate for 11th and 12th grade, the judicial courts, lobbyists and executive branch.  Our tour will be led by a Youth alumni and we will see the students in action in the house, senate and courts chambers.
3:00- bus leaves for the hotel
3:30- Hotel Programs Tour
The hotel hosts Leadership Corps, which is our 8th graders who are learning about YIG, the YIG media and House and Senate for 9 and 10 grade. 
4:30- leave hotel back to Eagan YMCA.
