This week we continue the theme to focus on Community. We welcome two guest speakers- Aiden Brown, Crime Stoppers Victoria & Anna Maio, Nillumbik Team leader Community Development & Community Services. The Topic- "Crime Prevention & Solving- Community Connect Network”.
Aiden will explain how Crime Stoppers Victoria is not for profit, works closely with the Community. Through many vital Programs, Crime Stoppers help Police solve Crime. The aim is to help keep Victoria safe. Programs for Crime cover drugs, guns, cyber, car & bike theft, child sexual abuse, wildlife & pest trafficking and bushfire arson. Crime Stoppers play an important role to protect First Responders <paramedics, emergency service personnel>.
Anna, through her role @ Nillumbik Council works closely with Community, including the Hurstbridge Hub, Police & Crime Stoppers.
Kevin Hadingham will Chair the meeting, having attended a Council led Community Connect Network Conference in September. Mike Englefield will propose the Toast. Mike Wetzler will, hopefully, present an innovative Fines/Thumbs Up to complete the Pre Xmas season!!
