David Law, Superintendent of the Anoka-Hennepin School District, presented information about the possible upcoming school facility changes if the fall 2017 referendum is successful. Among other things, Coon Rapids High School would get a new entrance for security purposes; other schools would also get updates, and a priority would be building additional classrooms so that outdoor "portable" classrooms could be removed.

With population growth in Blaine and Ramsey, those communities are proposed to each have a new elementary school built. For information on the "Fit for the Future" Task Force of community members who studied the school facility issue, visit this website: http://www.ahschools.us/FitForTheFuture
