Abere Mihretie is the Executive Director and a founding member of the Heath, Development and Anti Malaria Association.   The Health, Development and Anti-Malaria Association/HDAMA/ was established on August 23, 1998 by volunteers who were deeply concerned about the increasing problem of malaria as well as  its high morbidity & mortality rates in Ethiopia.  The Association was officially registered as an indigenous NGO on January 29, 1999 and as an Ethiopian Resident Charity Organization on November 5, 2009 in accordance with the Charities and Societies Proclamation no. 621/2009.
