The members of the Rotary Club of Buffalo Sunrise, invite you to consider investing in an innovative life-changing opportunity in Uganda. Working with local partners and Let There Be Light International, our project, Safe Births + Healthy Homes (SB+HH), will solar-electrify two off-grid health clinics and donate safe, durable solar lights to new moms and babies for use at home. Here are a few of the many reasons why we would like to tell you more about SB+HH: Solar Lights encourage new moms to deliver with trained birth attendants and are used at home to improve family health by reducing or eliminating the harmful soot and fire hazard of burning candles or kerosene lamps. Health Clinics need light to extend hours, improve care and protect facilities, staff and patients. Replacing kerosene lamps and candles with solar lamps frees up household funds for food, medicine, school fees, and other necessities.
