President Ted introduced Dr. Dana Blakolmer who is his Optometrist. Ted was impressed when he heard of her Medical Missions to Nepal and Peru. Dana grew up in Oshawa attending Donevan Collegiate and then the University of Waterloo. Her Medical Missions distribute glasses to people who have been unable to read or even clearly see family members and objects often for their entire lives. The Third World Eye Care Society is a 100% volunteer run Canadian charity whose main focus is to test vision and give glasses when appropriate. They accept donated glasses, test, sort, clean and measure them prior to shipping. The attached websites and blog will give you further information on the very worthwhile humanitarian project.
