PRESIDENT SUE’S OPENING REMARKS
Pres. Sue welcomed everyone, recognizing that our attendance is lower than usual – hoping that some are attending Toastmasters which is featuring Rotarian Peter Hernandez and Mark Blackmore
HAPPY THOUGHTS OF THE WEEK:
Pres. Sue’s daughter noted as she drove across Canada that there are Rotary Clubs in Cities and Towns – small and large
Bill Creamer happy that he received report back that the CRA Report was accepted
Jan and Kris reported that Krishlynn was able to make their promised 5% donation to Rotary in spite of COVID impact on business
Jan also happy to have convinced Ana to be a model for their upcoming photo shoot at Parkwood Estate

Manure sales are going very well – additional 500 bags have been ordered; Thank You cards (business size) have been ordered to hand out with these sales and other appropriate times
Rotary Club of Ajax forwarded information regarding Windreach Farm Foundation Golf Tournament inviting sponsorship and/or participation; date is June 8th; for more info email carol.dahlquist@windreachfarm.org
Rotary Foundation Information Session scheduled April 17 – postponed to May 1
April 19 is the 101st Birthday of the Rotary Club of Oshawa – a special meeting on that day will feature R.I. President Holger Knaack as Guest Speaker and will also include members of the Rotary Club of Moscow East
Foundation Gala May 12 – reminder that the Foundation is needing money due to large expenditures during COVID – consider supporting this
Rotary International Convention June 12 - 16
District Conference June 25/26 – Registration Fee only $10.00.
Community Grant of $500 from the District has been approved – Pres. Sue is hoping this will be used to provide some sort of Bicycle Rodeo/Safety event at Mary Street Public School – DRPS will be involved – contact has been made with the principle but all plans are in limbo due to COVID!?!?!
Speakers Needed David Andrews reminded us that there are several openings for Guest Speakers in May/June

As we had no speaker for this meeting, President Sue opened a discussion by asking “What will our Club e Like Post COVID?? Discussion revealed these points.
back at the Golf Club will be downstairs (upstairs will not be available)
we will all be very happy to see one another in person, so many we have not seen at all
the buffet option will not be available due to post COVID restrictions
will require criteria for meal costs due to non attendance; suggest that this be a part of Club Admin
responsibility
need ways to make meetings stimulating ie. decorate for special occasions, involve spouses/family; raffles
partnership with other clubs for fundraising, special events
consider alternate venue for meeting on a more frequent basis – Note this may lead to increase cost of meals at Golf Club (depending on frequency)
