Mike Billington - a very warm hello to all of the members here in our Rotary club and it is so nice to see so many familiar faces, even though it has been 20 years since he moved back to the UK.

Devon – happy to have had dinner last night with Mike and Marg Billington and right after the BBQ at his cottage, he and Linda are off to Elizabethtown Kentucky to see the eclipse in its totality.

GUEST SPEAKER :

President Ted introduced guest speaker, Kathy Beattie of the Rotary Club of Whitby-Sunrise , who is also the Co Chair of the 2017 District 7070 Rotary Foundation Walk.

Kathy presented the plans for September 10 at Heydenshore pavilion where the walk will originate and end. Starts at 8:30 am for breakfast (coffee and donuts), followed by the Walk at 10 am and lunch at noon. We will see The Station Gallery, Rowe House, the Abilities Centre and the pavilion at the Pier – just a few of the stops on the walk.

The key is the donations to The Rotary Foundation. Make sure you get pledges, bring in the money with your form to Devon and he will ensure that your collections go toward your next Paul Harris Fellow.
