Students Together Opposing Poverty (STOP)
This is the 6th annual workshop which brings together 80 students representing each of Northumberland's
high schools to engage in activities to address poverty, homelessness and stigma. The workshop has rotated so that each high school in Northumberland has an opportunity to host and this year is Brighton's turn. Last year in Cambellford, the Lionness Club and the Rotary Club supported the students workshop by making lunch for the students and taking part in the guest speaker components. This was a wonderful engagement of community members and high school students. It would be wonderful to discuss the opportunities for the Rotary club to support this initiative.
