Planning is underway for the next visit to Siem Reap, Cambodia late in December 2022

Project Update as of 23Nov19

In November 2019 three club members travelled to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On the agenda was to buy and distribute rice, food/hygiene essentials and pushbikes. We also had some baby packs ( clothes and diapers ) to hand out. We attended a session at Free To Shine called 'A Mile in Serey's Shoes'

While we did start our fund raising late we were overjoyed to see the generosity of our family and friends and raised $1050 to put towards our purchases and with some haggling got a great deal on the food and bikes. We purchased 4 pushbikes, 550 kg of rice, stationary ( writing books, pencils and sharpeners, erasers, rulers and toy balls ), essential food items ( soy and fish sauce, cooking oil, tinned fish), hygiene ( washing powder, dish-washing liquid, toothpaste hand soap ) and these were distributed between Free to Shine, ODA ( Opportunity for Development Thru Art ) and Grace House depending on their needs.

Our next trip will be towards the end of 2020. You can donate here GoFundMe or contact the treasurer for our bank account details.
