There are 353,800 people living with dementia in Australia. Of that number, 3500 live in the ACT. Alzheimer’s Australia provides a large suite of services to people in dementia, family services, services to professional education and behaviour management.
Jan will talk about dementia, its impact in the ACT and the services provided by Alzheimer’s Australia ACT.
Jan Chorley has a background in the not for profits, local and Commonwealth Government at executive level. She has rolled out national health and human services strategies that have led to major change on the ground. She has undertaken leadership roles in reconciliation, children and family services, veterans and their families and education. Her specialities are community engagement, change management and building organisational capacity.
