RYLA and its predecessor Camp Enterprise have been a positive transformative leadership experience for thousands of high school sophomores and juniors in our District for 35 years. This session focuses on a number of innovations that have fueled this success and kept the content of our Camp RYLA fresh, relevant, and meaningful for today’s students. And, in recognition of this growth and impact, the Rotary Club of San Francisco and the San Francisco Rotary Foundation recently launched ALPS (Action Leadership Program for Students), an exploratory effort looking into the potential for expanding leadership development opportunities for high school students throughout the academic year. Lynn Luckow, the lead and founding catalyst for ALPS will share insights to date and suggest ways Rotarians can deepen their commitment to cultivating the next generation of community-minded leaders the world so sorely needs.
